Description

Behold!  The Doritos Taco Bell home-made Crunchwrap.  You're welcome.

Ingredients
    The Goods
  • 2 Tortillas (Biggest ones you can find!)
  • 1 tbsp Refried Beans (canned (or smash your own))
  • 1 tbsp Guacamole (plain, smashed avocado is fine)
  • 1/4 cup Ground Beef or Pork (can substitute with impossible meat)
  • 1 pinch Diced Tomatos
  • 1 pinch Shredded Lettuce (or cabbage)
  • 1/4 cup Shredded Cheese (or 1 TBS cheese sauce)
  • 4 or 5 Doritos Chips
Instructions
    Demonstration
  1. Prep The Goods
  2. Shred your lettuce, Dice your tomatoes, Smash your avocado.

    Season Everything!  Salt & Pepper.

  3. Prep The Wrap
  4. Tortilla #1:  Warm tortilla in a pan on low heat until soft.  About 1 minute on each side.  Don't skip this step!  A dry tortilla is likely to break during the folding process.  Warming it up makes it malleable.

Tortilla #2: Cut a small tortilla circle out of the middle of one of the tortillas - about have the size of the original.  (see video).

    Set cut-out tortilla #2 aside.

Place warmed-up tortilla #1 on a plate to add the filling.

  5. Fill The Wrap
  6. Spread tortilla #1 with Refried Beans + Guacamole (if you have cheese sauce instead of shredded cheese, spread it on now).  Spread evenly to the edges, this will help the wrap hold together when folded.

In the middle of the tortilla, add your Meat + Dorito Chips + Lettuce + Tomato + Shredded Cheese.

  7. Wrap It Up and Grill It!
  8. Place the small cut-out tortilla #2 on top of the fillings in tortilla #1.   Fold tortilla #1 up and around, closing the crunchwrap.

In a lightly buttered pan, place the crunchwrap, folded side down into the pan.  Cook on medium to medium-low heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side.  Just until lightly browned.

Notes

TIP:  Less is more, when adding the filling.  Too much will make the wrap fall apart.  Except cheese!  Add all the cheese this wrap can handle!
